Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Todd's Sheds ("Todd's Sheds", "we", "us") builds custom sheds and backyard buildings from our showroom on Taunton Road in Orono, Ontario. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
This policy explains what information we collect through toddssheds.com, our ads, and when you contact us; how we use it; and the choices you have. By using our website, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote, book a consultation through our online calendar, fill out a contact form, call, or email us, we may collect:
-
Your name, email address, and phone number
-
Your property address or general location, so we can plan delivery and installation
-
Details about your project, such as size, style, materials, budget, and timing
-
Photos or drawings you choose to send us
-
Anything else you include in your message
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect some technical information, including:
-
Your IP address, browser type, and device type
-
Pages you visit, how long you stay, and the site that referred you
-
Whether you clicked one of our ads, and actions you take afterwards (for example, submitting a quote request or booking a time)
This information is collected using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, explained in the next section.
We do not collect payment card information through our website.
Cookies, pixels, and advertising
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels (also called tags) are small pieces of code that tell a service when a page loads or an action happens. We use them to keep the website working, understand how it is used, and measure and improve our advertising.
Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). Our website uses the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. It lets us see whether people who saw or clicked our Facebook and Instagram ads went on to visit our site or request a quote. It also lets us show ads to people who have visited our website (retargeting) and to people similar to them. Meta may link this information to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it under its own Privacy Policy.
Google Ads. We use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing, provided by Google LLC. These tools tell us when someone clicks one of our Google ads and then contacts us or books a time, and let us show our ads to past visitors as they browse other sites and use Google services. Google uses this information under its own Privacy Policy. You can learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Website platform. Our website is hosted on Wix, which sets cookies needed for the site to work, keep it secure, and remember your preferences.
The information these tools collect is generally tied to a browser or device rather than your name. We do not sell your personal information.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
-
Respond to your questions and prepare quotes
-
Schedule consultations, showroom visits, site visits, delivery, and installation
-
Design and build your project, and provide warranty and after-sale support
-
Send you updates about your project
-
Send occasional news or offers, only if you have agreed to receive them
-
Measure how well our website and ads work, and show relevant ads
-
Keep our website secure and meet our legal and accounting obligations
How we share your information
We only share personal information when needed to run our business:
-
Service providers who help us operate, such as our website host (Wix), booking calendar, email, and accounting tools. They may only use it to provide services to us.
-
Advertising partners (Meta and Google), through the pixels and tags described above.
-
Trusted trades or suppliers working on your project, only the details they need (for example, a delivery address).
-
Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Your choices
-
Cookie settings. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner on our website, and change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without essential cookies.
-
Meta ads. Adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, or visit Meta's ad preferences.
-
Google ads. Turn off personalized ads at Google My Ad Center.
-
Industry opt-out. Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada.
-
Emails. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us to stop receiving them. We will still contact you about an active project.
Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will see no ads. The ads you see will just be less related to your interests.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Customer and project records are kept for the life of your warranty and as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years). Quote requests that do not lead to a project are deleted or anonymized after [24 months].
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your information, including password-protected accounts and limiting access to people who need it. No website or email transmission is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information (such as banking details) through our forms.
Storage outside Canada
Some of our service providers, including Wix, Meta, and Google, store and process information outside Canada, mainly in the United States. While there, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it (subject to legal or contract limits). Contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new tools to our website. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
